“What goes on at the Remarkable Women’s Luncheon STAYS at the Remarkable Women’s Luncheon”
The December Remarkable Women’s Luncheon will be hosted by Tracey Wiley, Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity Agency Director.

Doris H. Causey, who served as the president of the Virginia State Bar for the 2017-18 term, also is managing attorney of the Richmond office of the Central Virginia Legal Aid Society, a non-profit law firm that provides free legal assistance to low income people in civil cases and preventive legal education.
She also serves on the Old Dominion Bar’s Executive Committee. She is a Virginia Bar Association Fellow, a member of the Richmond Bar Association and a past member of the Bench Bar Conference. Her practice focuses on civil litigation, family law, landlord tenant, foreclosure defense and poverty law. She also became the first African-American, first legal aid attorney and fifth woman to lead the organization.
Ms. Causey is a graduate of the University of Mississippi, where her mother, Dorothy Henderson, was the first African-American professor in the school’s Department of Education. She earned her law degree from Texas Southern University in Houston. She is married to Tracy L. Causey they have three children.
Each luncheon includes a fireside chat featuring an influential women in business. These quarterly luncheons are designed to provide training and networking opportunities for women professionals through open dialogue and full audience participation in a small, intimate setting. Topics in the past include effective communication conflict management, assertiveness, self-fulfillment, and upward mobility.
